The "add coolant" indicator light will not go out even after adding coolant. After putting in anti-freeze/coolant, it runs out of my car. When putting my foot on the brake at stop signs or light, car will cut off if I don't move it quickly.

First perform a compression test to rule out headgasket.

If OK, then have the cooling system pressure tested to isolate leak.

The add coolant light sensor may be defetive, but do the above first.
