Tires and Wheels problem
1995 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

We have replace the brake shoes on the bake of the car. The drum goes on tight, wheel goes on and the lug nuts are tight. There is a slight bit of play in the tire and when driving it is wobbling. I have taken the tire off three times and checked and retightened. What else could it be, it seems like the play is coming form the drum, but the lugs cannot be tightened any more.

Sounds like you have a loose wheel bearing.
Install the wheel on the car and see if you can move / shake it while it's attached. If you can, most likely it needs a wheel bearing.
Sometimes they make a noise like truck is behind you.
Let me know how you make out.
