1992 Pontiac Grand Am oil pressure guage

I need to no what the level should be for the oil pressure guage. The guage onthe car is at 70 when the car is moving. When you stop the guage drops down to 40. Is this normal or is there a problem. What can I do if this is a problem?

Did I read correctly 800,000 miles?

No oil pressure is normal, although I would think around 20psi at idle on an engine with that many miles.

Are you having problems, ticking or something?
