How are the coil packs suposed to go on my car (pontiac Grand Am 1992)?

I have to assume you have the v6. There are two different types of coil units. Again, if you can seperate the coils, then it simplifies the task. You should have 3 coils. Starting at the plug in side the firts coil is 3 and 6, the middle one is 5 and 2, and the other end one is 1 and 4. With the coil in a line, the wires again starting from the plug in side are 632541. Good luck
