89 Firebird Wet Running problems

I have a 89 Firebird Formula (5.0L TPI) that is having running problems, especially when it is wet out.

To start, the car has a rough idling. The rpms fluctuate by about 100 or so. When it rains, and after it has been moist out for a few hours or so it runs really bad. The rough idling becomes far worse, the throttle becomes eratic, and I stall out just about every time I come to a complete stop.
I have done the standard actions to attempt to fix this problem. There are new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. Any suggestions as to what the problem is and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rasmataz: If none of the usual repairs has worked, you may have the same problem I had with a 1985 Pontiac Firebird (V6). It was a SMALL CRACK up under the BOTTOM of the distributer assembly. My car used to stall after water was splashed up under the engine when the wheels ran over even normal puddles. All the usual things did not work like replacing the plugs, wires, distributer cap, etc. We never would have found the answer if a seasoned repairman didn't decide to replace the whole distributer assembly for a different reason, it was old and the cam was so warn he would not set the timing without replacing the whole distributer assembly. It was not easy since the distributer was squeezed way down behind the engine and the firewall. Even the hood had to be taken off. But once the distributer assembly was replaced the wet running problem went away and the car ran great. Gave it to my daughter but eventually we had to sell that old Firebird. Real men do cry at funerals, of people and cars :(

Thanks! I'm aware of that but the problem with me is am nowhere within the great mothership so called United States. I left big Mama back in 99.

Landtax hope you're listening-go get scanned with or w/o code/s maybe something might just pop up that can lead the way.
