if i unhook my cat from the manifolds and drive it to check the power...will it hurt my engine?

no it will not,you are only doing this for testing for a plugged exhaust,when you find out what it is you can put the exh back togther. also you do not have to start a new thread when posting a response,just add to the origanal thread it makes it easier to answer. post back with what you find.
