1996 Pontiac Firebird Car Won't Start

After charging my battery. The starter won't engage. It makes absolutely no noise when the key is turned. The lights on the dash light up, the headlights work. Any suggestions as to what the problem is? Thank you.

Have a meter or test light? Need to test for power at the small starter wire while key isin crank position. If so then you probably have a bad starter/solenoid.
