I reciently went to drive my 89 firebird at night. When I hit the lights they did not turn on, so I turned them off and tried again, to no avail. I have replaced the fuse to the headlights and still nothing happens, I cant figure out why they wont turn on.

Have you checked the relays under the hood.

So after you pulled the relays and checked them, then replaced them the lights work at times? With them working at times now I would check the wiring by the relays. There could ber a corroded wire or loose wire. Try turning the lights on and move the wires under the relays.
