I'm having a problem with hesitation on both my '84 Fiero with TBI and my '84 Porsche 944 with fuel injection. I've checked with my local BP station and have been assured that there is no ethanol in the gas. I run premium in both cars. Both cars have recent tune-ups, fuel filters and I've checked the fuel rail pressure on the Porsche. I couldn't find a port on the Fiero. Both cars have had fuel injection cleaner ran through them. Is there something on these older cars that would cause both to have similar symptoms?

I can't help with the porsche, but I kinda know fieros.
Cause I live and die by them.

Is this hesitation something that has just started, or is it your perception that they are hesitating.

There is not a pressure test port on the 4 cylinder fieros. You have to add one if you really want to see what's going on.

There is a little rubber hose in the tank that goes bad from some of the chemicals in modern gas. A fuel pressure test would verify this.

Timing could also be causing a problem.
