How hard is it to replace the belts? Over the weekend the altenator belt broke so we are going to go ahead and replace the other belt as well.

Not any worse than any FWD car made by GM in the 80s.
The only trick I might point out,
There are small holes in the AC bracket. You can stick a prybar through them to get leverage on the compressor to help when tightening that belt.
