Crankshaft pulley removal

I have a 1987 pontiac bonneville. Thr crankshaft pulley { damper pulley I think it's called } needs to be replaced. I have tried everything and even baught a air compressor and air gun still I can't get the bolt out. I am not even sure which way it is supposed to turn, lol. Can someone please help.

You can use a breaker bar with the correct extension and socket 1/2 in drive ratchet slide it thru in a short piece of pipe-extend it then brace it properly on the ground or within the engine/suspension component. And crank the engine over using the key-this will break the center bolt loose.

Before you crank-disable the ignition coil so that it won't start.
