The oil pressure guage reads 120 psi when running but returns back to 0 when the car is turned off. The normal range appears to 40-60 psi. I am looking to trouble shoot this problem before taking it to the repair shop.

The car is a '01 Pontiac Bonneville ssei with the 3.8 L supercharger with about 133,000 miles.
