My Bonnevile is making a chirping noise when the engine has been at normal operating temperature for 30 minutes or more. I have replace the serpentine belt, water pump, and a/c compressor. I removed the belt then started the engine while it was warm and it still made the noise. The thing that gets me is if I pull the engine oil dipstick out and break the o-ring seal the noise stops. Has anyone ever heard of this pr could possibly point me in the right direction? I also replaced the pcv valve. It has no check engine light or codes that come up on the code reader.

Honestly, I've never seen this. However, I am trying to picture in my mind what may be happening. If the noise goes away when you remove the dipstick, is there any evidence that the dipstick is touching something in the engine?

This may sound crazy, but is the PCV in good condition?

Found the problem. The original PCV valve had a o-ring around the base of the valve itself. I didnt pay any attention to the fact that the new one was lacking said o-ring. The result was crankcase gas built up and was "chirping" out of the front timing cover seal.

Honestly, when I asked if the PCV was good, I was thinking it wasn't drawing enough from the engine thus causing a noise. I was close.

Take care and I'm glad you got it fixed. Let us know if you have questions in the future.
