Now that the rpm goes down which has been happening for a long time, now almost every time it does the engine shuts off and sometimes it is hard to turn it back on. The car at any moment will shut off the engine I mean. Sometimes the engine light will come on, and when I check it it gives me the crankshaft positioning sensor. Could it be that my crank positioning sensor is going bad. I am tired off the car turning off on me.

Yes theres a good chance it could be a bad crankshaft sensor with the car dieing and not starting and setting a code for it. How long will it die for and not start?Do you have a multimeter?Let me know.
