i'm having problem's with gas coming out at the pump when first filling up. Compartment to the gas cap won't open, I hv to pop the trunk, and pull the saftey cord in the trunk to open. Help!

Its an electric solenoid
so I would start by checking the fuses and power supply
check if the solenoid stuck
its in the trunk
