I had a problem with rats in my neighborhood and they decided to take food up into my air conditioner blower housing. I had no idea they could drag chunks of fruit with rinds and cactus flower parts up there. All of a sudden my air conditioner started making a loud crunching rattling sound. I pulled over and turned off the car because I didn't know what had happened. To my surprise this did not stop the noise so I unhooked the neg cable which worked. I called a friend and he said to pull the master relay next to the fire wall. I did and this worked so I could drive it. We took out the blower and cleaned it out but itstill won't shut off with the engine. Any suggestions?

Try removing the blower motor relay and see what happens.

Is this the large fuse next to the firewall? If yes then that's what I did. I would like to know what is causing the problem so I can fix it and have air conditioning in this 100 degree heat. If not then where exactly is this relay?
