A few days ago my car lost acceleration while in any gear. I've taken it to a repair shop and they can't figure out why. The engine runs and sounds good (but the manifolds are getting red hot), the exhaust system has been checked out( converter was clogged), plugs and wires are good, fuel injectors are fine, no problems show up through a computer scan. The mechanic says that logically the should be a restriction or obstruction causing the problem but can't find any. Any Ideas?

Hello
Check fuel pressure the engine is running lean, could be a plugged fuel filter, bad fuel pump or pressure regulator.

After many weeks of my car being with the dealership mechanics (and a new exhaust system) they have determined the problem with my car is a cracked harmonic balancer. If this doesn't resolve the issue I will repost.
