1996 Pontiac Bonneville Blower Motor

I am replacing the Blower Motor on my 1996 Bonneville. The shroud that covers the motor pretty much decintegrated when taking out the screws from the firewall, along with the cooling tube. Is this cover needed. I can not find the part anywhere. Thanks. Ken

I just replaced the A/C blower on a 1996 Bonneville and the cover disentegrated just like Ken's (posted Wed Jul 09, 2008). I have the same questions:
Is it needed? Where can I get one?
