I just replaced the air pump on this after finding that it was turning up in the OBD codes. It had blown the fuse and when I took the old one off I got about 2 ounes of water out of one of the hoses. The fan had some rust accumulated in it and was frozen. My question is wether the small amount of water I found is normal or wether I should replace the air inject check valve. Its another $90.

These air pumps have been filling with water for years but the design was only recently changed a couple years back. The check valve is the source of all the problems that require replacement of the A.I.R. Pump and blown fuses. If you do not replace it the pump could fail again as quickly as one day. Parts warranties, unfortunately, do not cover failures caused by other components. GM has a service bulletin (not free recall) about this problem.

Good luck.
