1990 Pontiac 6000 headlights going on and off

The headlights just starting going off and on with no reason. Suggestions welcomed. This car is in excellent conditions and is our childrens car. They love this car and we would like to try to resolve this matter for them to make it safe. Thank you and look forward to your reply.

Hi Sue:

A few things could cause this problem, a faulty ground, broken wire. However, it's most likely the switch itself. That is where I would start. After you remove it, any electrical place could check it or just replace it.
