Code P0340, it makes like a lifter noise for like 30 seconds?

When I clear the code and drive it for the day and when I start the car up on the next day it makes like a lifter noise for like 30 seconds and then goes away and then the code p0340 sets. I got new oil. I changed it with the same weight it calls for, I spoke to a mechanic and told me to use Castrol gtx 20 50 and I will not hear it anymore high mileage oil I put 6 quarts in, and I know it’s full.

Code P0340 - a problem with the electrical wiring of the circuit to the camshaft sensor. So, I would look at the electrical connector for the camshaft sensor, here is the location of the sensor so you can check it out. Also, you might want to try a bottle of Lucas oil treatment, we have good luck with it.

If the connection seems okay, I would replace the sensor. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
