I have a 96 plymouth grand voyager, 204K km, with an intermittant bang/clunk from the rear end. Had it in the shop and they found a broken part in the brake drum, but 3 days later noise is back and this time they couldn't find anything wrong. Any ideas?

I have a 95 voyager and I had the same problem. When I stopped I would hear a clunk. So I got under and took a look and turns out the spare tire that hangs under there was very loose and flopping around! I tightned it up and no more noise.

If the brake shop stopped it for three days, take it to another shop and have them repair it. Then take the bill to the first and make them give your money back.
