I recharged the AC with Freon bought from the store and very shortly after a mist or fog was blowing from the vents with the AC on and a very strong smell. I am assuming this was the freon because it was blowing cold air but the next day the air was back to being hot. What could the possible problem be and with it blowing out the vents and leaking that quickly?

Hi there,

I would get the cooling system check for a leaking heater core, and get the A/C also leak tested, I would have an electronic sniffer used to check the vents for traces of refrigerant as well.
