1998 Plymouth Voyager alternator replacment

I pulled the old one and got a new alternator, the instructions say disconect the neg battery cable, not the posative. I already disconected the pos. is there anything I should do or know before I install this new alternator.

No you are fine with disconnecting the Pos Terminal.
