Computer problem
1997 Plymouth Voyager 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Is it possible to re-flash the VIN on this vehicle. I bought a used computer with matching part numbers and now I have security lock out because the VIN doesn't match. At least it starts now, just can't run it more than 3 seconds before the computer shuts me down. A good layout of needed programing would be nice too. Thanks for your help.

I have one to get the codes only, but I have connections to a Chrysler dealer if I really need it. Do you want the actual code?

Okay, I don't know how your scanner works, but it should offer a misc selection. Go to that and the vin should be an option.

Not sure what you are asking me to do. I already know the vin does not match. Which is why it is going into anti theft mode and shutting down the veh after 3 seconds. I just need to know if it is possible to recal the vin and how to do so with a Chrysler scanner. The dealer I used to work for (and still have a good relationship with) just doesn't have any body who is capable of answering the question (small town) and even at half rate I don't want to pay for 2-3 hours of wasted time. That's why I need to know the process of recal, so I can get it done in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks for your efforts.

I just looked up the process for the anti theft relearn. Here are the directions:

Disconnect the battery

Insert the driver's key in the driver's side door lock

Connect the battery

Cycle door lock once

The vehicle should now start. Some vehicles may sound the horn 3 times to indicate the relarn has been completed.
