Electrical problem
1997 Plymouth Voyager 6 cyl Automatic 162000 miles

Every once and a while, now more frequently, the guages seem to be getting no electricity and do not light up or register when I start the car. After driving around for a while, then stopping, when I restart the car they will work fine. I checked the obvious fuses but they all seem to be ok. Any ideas?

You may have just hit on something. They may not be getting any electricity. The ignition switch sends voltage to everything, including the instrument panel. Turn the key to "ON". Do all the guages register anything at all? If so, slightly 'wiggle' the key towards "START" (but not all the way to 'start') then back towards "OFF". Move the key back and forth and see if the guages stop registering. If so, replace the ignition switch. If not, re-post and we'll keep going.
