We have a 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager that was stalling out and dying, we took it to the dealership and we were told they were 90% sure it was the fuel pump and that there was corrosion on the main wiring harness underneath the battery compartment. We replaced the fuel pump and removed the protective cover from the wiring harness and the wiring is fine. We reassembled the vehicle and now it will not shift out of first gear. What could be causing this?

A bad connection in the wiring could cause it. Does the speedo work?If not that will be where to start. Be sure it is plugged in. Have the PCM scanned for codes as well, the computer may see a failure and set a code that may lead to a fix
