All idiot lights function at ignition on (no bad bulbs). Van starts easily, engine sounds fine. No warning lights show.

After 10-15 seconds the warning chime starts sounding and continues dinging (again with no idiot lights showing; door ajar, seat belt, temperature, brake, oil pressure, etc.)

Quick self diagnostic (ignition on-off-on) shows only code for battery disconnect within 100 key ons (12) and end of codes (55).

Any idea what's going on? Is there any way to diagnose problem? Is it safe to drive to mechanic?
