1996 Plymouth Voyager Two Wheel Drive Automatic

sometimes my indicators work sometimes not. Its not the actual lights burning out. They stop when I need them. I know the relay is in the steering wheel column but dont know exactly where and what it looks like. Help?

Two common problems I'm aware of. One is burned contacts inside the ignition switch or burned terminals in the connector. Wiggle the switch. If the lights come back on, have the switch replaced. The radio works off the same circuit, so if the display goes out, that's another clue. This is more likely to occur if you use the heater fan on "high" quite often.

I've heard many stories of the connector pins working loose on the back of the instrument cluster. Soldering the pins to the copper circuits will cure that problem.

I bought a new indicator arm as my husband got so annoyed with them not working he broke the arm thingy. We figured out that the relay was loose and kept wiggling itself out a bit. Replaced it, no more problems. :) :) :)
