My van will not start and the check gages light comes on whenever i try. I am thinking maybe the connecter for the negative wire for my battery is bad. Not sure though.

Hello, not sure if your saying the starter won't crank, or the vehicle won't start? If the starter won't crank, make sure the battery has a full charge and the cables are ok.

If it cranks good but won't start, check the basics. Have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs and injector pulse. Check fuel pressure. Check for troublecodes.
