I HAVE A 95 PLYMOUTH VAN THAT HAS A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT THAT COMES ON AFTER ABOUT TEN MINUTES OF DRIVING. THE FLUIDS ARE FULL AND DONT KNOW WHAT THIS IS. IF YOU STOPP AND TURN OFF ENGINE AND RESTART LIGHT GOES OUT BUT COMES BACK ON SHORTLY AND STAYS ON. HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IT NEEDS A 90.00 SCAN AT SHOPP AND THEN MAYBE MORE. VAN RUNS GOOD OTHERWISE ALSO BEEN TOLS COULD BE OXYGEN SENSOR OR O2. CAN YOU HELP BEFORE I SPEND MONEY TO FIX. ALSO CAN DISCONTECTING BATTERY CABLES FOR A FEW MINTUES RESET CODES.

Like you said you need is to have it scanned and get the codes
disconnecting the battery not going to help you
replacing part will end up costing you a lot more money
I suggest shop around for cheaper rate on scanning the van
