1993 Plymouth Voyager V6 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 130000 miles

the check engine light keeps coming on would like to know what could be causeing this also when car first starts for the day when put in revers get loud bang in transmission like gears are not catching right what could this be and is it easy repair thanks for any help you can give thank you so much car idiot here william

Hi William
Fist you need to try and get the codes from the PCM (computer)
Turn the key on then off 3 times ending on the check engine will flash code s you need to count them and put them in order
For example code 12 check engine will flash once delay the twice
And then delay and will flash the second code is the same order
(Code 12 and 34*__**__***__**** )
and so on
