When I hit a bump all my gages go out, and usually come back on if I hit another bump or if I press the windsheild wash button. But they have gone out this time and I cant get them to come back on it just says check gages

I think the odometer/bezel has become loose from many many bumps, this is not uncommon, it just has to be plugged back in. Remove it and reconnect.

Do you know how to access the odometer plug? What do I need to do?

There are screws surrounding it undo them all and gently pull the plastic ring from around it, then there will be about six more screws to remove to take the whole unit out, look in back and there will be the plug.
