Engine Performance problem
1991 Plymouth Voyager 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 160K miles

WHERE IS IT LOCATED ON THIS ENGINE: 3.0 LITER.

SHOULD IT BE CLEANED OR JUST REPLACED? BEARING IN MIND THAT CAR HAS 160K MILES.
CAR SMOG CHECK REPORTED HIGH NOXS AND I HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS IS MAIN CULPRIT.

I suggest replacing the EGR valve itself and cleaning the EGR valve related passageways to free the carbon build-up. The EGR valve is located on the intake manifold.
