Engine Mechanical problem
1990 Plymouth Sundance 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

hey how's it going? Well the problem I have is when the car has been running for awhile it will have complete power loss down to stalling and will not start up again for some time its done this on multiple occasions. I've considered a couple possible problems. First i've considered the fuel pump, or possibly a clogged cat. Any information would be appreciated.

Do you hear the fuel pump come on? If so, check the fuel pressure if it's within specs. And also, check the injectors if they are pulsing. Now if you don't hear the fuel pump, check the fuel pump fuse and the fuel pump relay.
