My 1994 plymouth Sundance duster recently started having problems. It has a 3.0Liter V6. Recently we had a big rain shower while I was driving and had to drive through a big puddle on the reoad that was deeper than it appeared and my car slowed way down going through it and then seemed fine right after. But, a couple blocks later when I when to shift gears the rpms dropped to ~400 rpms way lower than usual and almost died. When I stop the car rpms dropped way low and procedded to die. It has been a two days since then and it still idles very low hasn't died but has come very close. In addition to that while started it feel very bogged down and has lost a ton of power and sometimes starts to jerk while cruisin in gear at around 2000 rpms. I have no clue what could be wrong and any ideas and comments would be much appreciated! Thanks

Open the hood and start checking simple stuff first. Look at the air cleaner and the ignition components (plug wires, inside dist cap, Rotor, etc).

Good hunting and let us know what you find. :)

Well it is doing a bit better after replacing the spark plugs but is still having troubles. I haven't found any malfunctions with checking things yet but I am going to test my plug wires becuase I believe that may be my problem. But yes definately I will be steering CLEAR from puddles from now on.
