I started my car and the engine would turn but not start then I tried to pop the clutch and didn't work kept trying to start blew the starter I replaced it then tried to start again and it did only after I staid on the gas as starting then it would rev real high and then go down and the idle would sputter and the catalytic converter got red hot on the exit part of it. Tried to drive it would sputter and not move faster so I stepped on the gas and and it hesitated then went a little faster then the whole time sputtering checked the converter and it was still red hot can you help

The glowing cat. Converter is a very good sign of incorrect timing or just a very lean or rich fuel / air mixture. Check the timing to ensure it didn't jump. If OK then check all spark plugs to ensure they are sparking good to burn the fuel properly. Is the engine light coming on?
