Valve train rattling at idle and knocking sound. The engine performs well and all proper maintenance service has been done. Should I be concerned?

Best be concerned if you don't want a major repair to happen get it check now. Following could be causing your problem.

A clicking or tapping noise that gets louder when you rev the engine is probably "tappet" or upper valvetrain noise caused by one of several things: low oil pressure, excessive valve lash, or worn or damaged parts
