I looked up the price of a new gas tank, which I found. I just wanted to know what generally gets changed with a gas tank. I heard something about the "main lines." What exactly are they called and how can I get a hold of them?

I would just replace the tank unless you are having a fuel pump problem then replace that too. I have not had to replace any of the fuel lines when replacing the tank. If you don't mind me asking why are you replacing the tank?

Thats a good reason. Well if that is the only reason you are replacing it then I would just replace the tank nothing else. Now what you can also do is tape off the holes for the fuel pump and such and use some 3m undercoating and coat it first, this will protect it from road grime and rusting.
