Plastic guard repair

Someone has used a sharp object to tear a small hole (about the size of fifty cent piece) in the front passenger side plastic guard panel just behind the head lights. It is still attached. As I do not want to claim this as I was wondering whether anyone knows whether you can weld this plastic to repair it. I know some models like Mercedes the plastic guards are not weldable but Holden are? Assistance in the area would be much appreciated. Thanks.
