Hiya,

I have just brought the car listed above second hand. I've only just realized that there are a few things that need doing on it but have no idea where to start! There is a little buzzing noise when I drive it which doesn't turn off, I was told this was the air conditioning? Also, there is a lot of water in my brake light, my brake lights don't work but I am worried this could be dangerous. Any suggestions?
Would really appreciate if you could point me in the right direction as I don't have a clue!
Regards,
Priscilla Mitchell

Hello,

If you are getting condensation / water in the brake light housing, the first step would be to determine the cause. Without fixing that issue, installing new bulbs will not help. As they will burn out again.
Typically, if there is a damaged seal on back of the light housing, it will allow water to enter. The water can also enter if there is a crack in the lens.
So first inspect the taillight assembly for any damage or cracks. Using an appropriate sealant around the seals can also help.
There is a gasket that goes in between the light housing and the vehicle, when that gasket fails it will allow water to enter in the light housing.

After the water issue taken care of you will need to install new bulbs. Make sure there is no corrosion on the connector for the light, as moisture can corrode electrical connections.
