Persistent code 27?

It is frequently throwing code 27 (fuel injector circuit). When the check engine light comes on, I pull over or pull into a parking lot and disconnect and reconnect the injector plugs. I restart the engine and it's good for a while before it starts missing a check engine light comes on. Code 27. I put all 8 injectors, new, almost 5 1/2 years ago. In that time, I put 56,000 miles on it. Now, I have to disconnect and reconnect the injectors twice or 3 times a day, sometimes, to shut the check engine light off. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you have either a fuel injector that is starting to short out or the PCM is going bad. Also check the wiring and connectors to make sure they are in good shape; this is a circuit issue so any of these items can cause the problem. Here is a guide to help you test the wiring:
