The vehicle was 2quarts low on oil and I
Drove it to the auto parts store with hesitation on take of intermediately. Got the oil in and it wouldn't start got it towed home investigated and discovered a clogged fuel filter. Replaced it and it will only start in neutral and when put in gear it stalls unless the gas pedal is idled up. And there's a rough take off and it's smooth once it gets going. Stalls in reverse automatically.

Try cleaning throttle plate on both sides and iac hole with choke cleaner. if it continues check fuel pressure with a gauge it may be low causing this. see link.
