How to fix bad PCM connections? I think the c4 connector makes bad connections with PCM pins, inside the c4 connector there is a white pad surrounding the inside of the connector that pad is smashed up.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

Honestly, they are nearly impossible to repair because of the size of the pins. I am not sure what symptoms the vehicle has, but I attached a picture of the C4 pin and the remaining pictures indicate their functions.

As far as repair, I would recommend replacing the harness if the plug is damaged.

Let me know if this at least helps you determine if the connector is the issue.

Take care,
Joe

When I push the connector to the #4 PCM slot it will not click. The white pad I guess it is a weather protector is smashed. The symptoms are p0882 limp in mode and in a while p1603 and u010.

Hi again. The 1603 indicates an internal communication error the 882 indicates PCM power low and the U010 is not correct but a U0101 indicates a loss of communication with the TCM. The plug that you are having trouble with ties in with the TCM / PCM communications. I feel that is the entire problem. You may have to get a new harness.

Let me know your thoughts.

The p01603 and u0101 are gone did not come back, however p0882 back yesterday. After I start the car turn it off and start it again for the second time it went to limp in mode. I pulled over turn it off start it again it shifted fine. Also, I have a p0700 and p0128 transmission over heating, but I guess it is a different issue.
