The LED lights go off and on when I touch the wiring harness for the LED lights. There must be a short. Is this fixable or do I need to replace the whole assembly? If I do, do you have step by step instructions that I can follow to do this? Does the rear bumper need to be taken off? I'm trying to save some money if I can do it myself. Thank you

Chances are the amplifier for the LED voltage is going out, but when the light is removed you can check for corrosion and if the connections are clean, I would replace the unit. Here is a video and the instructions you have requested in the images below.

Check out the images (below). Please let us know what you find. Please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

Can the amplifier be replaced? Too difficult? Do you know the part number for the light assembly and all this has to be removed just to get the light out correct?

Ken, do you have the Amazon description for the right rear? Also, I never did this before but I am a little handy, so you think I can handle this?
