Whenever I try to close the power window for the passenger side window it goes up then goes down halfway. The rest of my windows works just fine it's just this one. Can someone tell me what it is?

Also, FYI I did change my car battery awhile back if it helps. I don't know if the procedure to initialize my power window is the same for all Toyotas.

Hi,

I wouldn't think battery replacement would cause one of the windows to improperly operate, but anything is possible.

There is no "reset" when the battery is replaced. However, I want you to try resetting the affected window.

If you look below, I attached directions specific to resetting the fully open, fully closed positioning. At the bottom of the procedure is a Note. Make sure to follow it.

Let me know if this takes care of the issue.

Joe

Hi,

Let's try it a different way. Try the following:

1) Disconnect the window regulator motor connector during power window operation. This should return the motor to the pre-initialized positioning.
2) reconnect the motor connector
3) Turn the key to the run position. The master switch light should blink.
4) Close the window by holding the down on the switch until the window fully closes.
5) Open the window fully by holding up on the switch.

Let me know if that helps.

Joe
