Park/neutral switch wiring?

I have a 2002 Corolla I've been fixing for a while. When I got the car it had its park/neutral switch, but no connector. The wires were all taped and it has the P/N wires connected so it starts in any position.

I'm hoping I can get the connector (seems very hard to find), else I will solder some wires to the switch, pour epoxy resin (or something like that) on it to seal the connection and use another 9 pin set of connectors for it.

My problem is, I don't have a clue on how the wires go for this model, and I cannot find it anywhere online. Does anybody know?

The part number for the park/neutral swicth is 84540-16050 and the part number for the connector is 90980-11643. I've attached pictures of both.

I would also like to know if it would be possible to use a switch and connector from the following gen Corolla (2003-2008 I think), which is kind of similar 9 pin and way easier to find. It appears to me that the only difference in their connectors is the position of the wide pins (mine has them in the middle, next gen Corolla has them on the sides), and of course the wiring would be different, but still all the same 9 wires? I guess it could work if the park/neutral switch it's the same size and the selector works on the same positions... (attached pics of this too, part number 84540-32110)

I would stick with the correct switch for the year and install the wiring with terminal connectors and then pour epoxy resin to secure the wiring. Here is the wiring diagrams so you can install the wiring correctly. Check out the images (below). Let me know how it goes

Thank you, but the diagrams do not seem to be the ones for my car. Mine doesn't have cruise control, so how would I connect the wire for D?

In fact, the diagram you sent seems to be for the next gen corolla, which connector goes like the pic attached. That is the one I asked if I could use instead of the original part.

So far I've identified the wires for P/N (start, which would be the wide pins 2 and 3 in the attached pic).

6 is the 12v line
5 is R
4 and/or 9 seem to be 2 and/or L, but not sure which, have to follow the wire later.

So I still need to know where P, D and N go in the connector.

I've tested the wires against the 12v line, and the dashboard shows P, R, 2 and L. So D and N might be bad? I want to check for those but in the diagrams you sent D goes to cruise control (and my car doesn't seem to have it) and the N (not in the diagram either, maybe goes directly to dashboard?).

I will test the switch later. I tried yesterday but it seems to be faulty (probably the reason it was disconnected) so I guess to know exactly where the wires go to make them match the switch I will need to get the new one and test there...

TL;DR: where do D wire go if my car doesn't have cruise control? where do N wire go as well?

Exact model of my car is AE111L-GEPDKF, see pic (reference, taken from the internet)
