Code p216c, can I a wiring diagram for the ECU?

Misfire on cylinder 5. Dtc code p216c is for fuel injector 5 circuit high. I replaced the fuel injectors and still get the same code. I need the wiring diagram for the ECU to test ohms of each injector circuit as well as continuity between the ECU connector and injector connector.

Hi,

To get you started, the code is specific to a short to power for the number five injector. I thought that might make it easier for you. (See pic 1)

Now, I attached the wiring to injector 5 from the PCM below (pics 2 and 3). Additionally, I attached a connector pinout for the same injector. (Pic 4, 5, 6)

Hi,

It could, but chances are it is either wiring-related or connector related. Check to see if there is constant power or ground at the injector connector. If there is, then make the same check at the PCM itself. Note that the pins are small at the PCM, so it is possible one is damaged or making contact with another.

I checked the ohms to each injector from the ECM connector to see if there is more resistance in an injector than the other injectors and all injectors through the harness are at 2.2-2.4 ohms. So, I don’t believe it is the injectors themselves rather than something internally damaged in the ECM.

Chances are you're correct. However, make sure to check connector pins at the PCM to make sure none are corroded, damaged, or pushed inward.

Finally have some good news. Friday, I ended up taking the Camaro to the dealership. Due to me thinking it was the ECM being bad but turns out that the alternator that I had just put on about a month ago had a bad voltage regulator and was causing all of my issues.

Thanks for the update. Wow, I wouldn't have suspected the alternator would cause a cylinder 5 misfire (injector). However, anything is possible. LOL
