p1290 code faulty coolant temperature sensor?

Looks like it threw a code for a faulty coolant temperature sensor. I cannot seem to locate where the sensor is. Where is the sensor located on the engine?

O man, you are not going to like where this sensor is, first of all they call it the cylinder head temperature sensor and it is located behind the right side cylinder head down low near where the head meets the engine block. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.

Hey Ken L. Thanks for the info! The image you attached didn't come through. Could you possibly send it again or provide a link to the image? Also, is this possible to access and replace the sensor from the top of the engine or do I need a pro with a proper lift to access it from the bottom?

I don't think you can get to it from the bottom. The intake manifold my need to be removed to get at it. I will send you the image though email until the site gets fixed.
