It sounds like the PCM is bad, I would send it out for testing here is the location so you can check it out, you can get a preprogrammed unit by searching Google or Ebay. Here is more information:
The P0725 error code in an automobile diagnostic reading represents an issue with the "Engine Speed Input Circuit". It means that the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), or the car's main computer, is not receiving the correct signal regarding the engine's speed from the Engine Control Module (ECM).
The PCM uses the engine speed signal to control many aspects of the vehicle, including its fuel strategy, ignition timing, and transmission shift points. Therefore, when the PCM does not receive this signal, it can lead to problems with the car's performance.
There could be several potential reasons for a P0725 code:
A faulty engine speed sensor.
A problem with the wiring or connectors in the engine speed sensor circuit (they could be broken, shorted, or corroded).
Issues with the PCM or ECM.
You should not ignore a P0725 code, as it can lead to noticeable issues with your car's performance. These can include difficulty starting the engine, poor fuel economy, harsh or erratic shifting, or even engine stalling.
To fix a P0725 code, you or a mechanic will need to do the following:
Check the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored in the PCM.
Use a scanner to monitor engine RPM signal.
Inspect the wiring and connectors for damage.
Check the engine speed sensor for any signs of damage or wear.
If necessary, replace the engine speed sensor.
